Marck Espejo wins 5th PVL MVP plum


The five-time UAAP Most Valuable Player is now also a five-time PVL MVP.

Cignal HD’s Marck Espejo was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2018 Reinforced Conference, his fifth award in the league dating back to its beginnings as the Spikers’ Turf.

The former Ateneo Blue Eagle, who was also named the conference’s 1st Best Open Hitter, grabbed his second MVP award in a club league. His other three PVL season MVP trophies came from three Collegiate Conference stints.

Air Force’s Fauzi Ismail was hailed the 2nd Best Open Hitter, and Cignal’s Rex Intal bagged the 1st Best Middle Blocker plum.

Vice Co.’s JP Bugaoan grabbed the 2nd Best Middle Blocker award. PLDT’s John Vic De Guzman, Ronchette Villegas, and Rence Melgar rounded out the awardees, being named the Best Opposite Spiker, Best Setter, and Best Libero, respetively.
