Sad Bolick joins Northport as virtual fan

Northport still felt Robert Bolick’s presence during its PBA Season 45 debut inside AUF Sports & Cultural Center, Monday evening.

But the 25-year-old combo guard was only there as a fan on the virtual stands.

And when the cameras of One Sports panned to him, they caught him lying down with a frown on his face.

“I’m here to support them. I’m confident with the team. I wish I was there but I’m not, so the only thing that I can do is to watch the games, see how my teammates play so when I come back, I could fit in again,” Bolick told Tiebreaker Times.

Last season, Bolick was having a spectacular campaign, averaging 12.86 points, 6.00 assists, and 5.00 rebounds per contest during the Governors’ Cup.

Disaster then struck Bolick and the Batang Pier last October when he tore his ACL.

Though it has already been a year, Northport’s management deemed that they want a full strength Bolick back next season, deciding to sit him out of the two-month bubble.

And all Bolick can do right now is cheer for his team on the stands at home.
