Terrence Romeo ruled out of PBA Bubble season by San Miguel

San Miguel’s bid of extending its PBA Philippine Cup reign to a sixth year has suffered another major blow, as Terrence Romeo is ruled out of the 2020 season.

According to reports on Saturday morning, the former three-time scoring champ will be out for 6-8 weeks after dislocating his right shoulder.

Romeo opted not to go under the knife, though, and is currently wearing a sling on his right arm, reports said.

The seven-year pro suffered the injury with 4:57 to go in the second quarter of the Beermen’s match versus TNT, following a collision with Ryan Reyes.

He was immediately brought to the nearby Medical City afterwards. SMB sorely missed his presence, as the Beermen bowed to the Tropang GIGA, 88-107.

The Far Eastern University product was having himself a game, with 11 points before the injury.

Romeo, 28, is now the second San Miguel player out for the season. He joins reigning six-time Most Valuable Player June Mar Fajardo on the sidelines.

The Cavite native has averages of 13.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists across three games this season, where the Beermen are now 1-2.
